This House Has a Soul
Long before Huis op de Gracht became a place for guests, it was simply a home.
Built in the early 1700s along the Prinsengracht, this canal house has stood quietly through centuries of Amsterdam life. It has watched the city grow, change and flourish from its place along one of the most beloved waterways in all of Europe.
We discovered it on a grey November morning, light falling through the tall sash windows onto original oak floors, and we knew immediately that this was something rare. Something worth preserving.
Over two years of careful restoration followed. Original features were repaired not replaced. The timber beams were restored. The canal-facing windows were kept exactly as they were. Modern comforts were woven in thoughtfully, never intrusively.
Today Huis op de Gracht stands as it always has. Proud, warm and full of quiet character. Waiting to become part of your story too.

The finest bedroom in the house. A king-sized bed dressed in hotel-grade linens, original hardwood floors and an en-suite bathroom with a deep soaking tub and rainfall shower.

Elegant and quietly luxurious with a queen-sized bed and warm, considered interiors.
THE LIVING ROOM
A generous, light-filled space anchored by an original fireplace and floor-to-ceiling canal-facing windows. Sink into deep linen sofas and watch Amsterdam drift by outside.

What is the minimum stay?
We require a minimum of two nights for all bookings.
Is parking available?
Yes, there is a garage in the building. Also a street parking is available nearby. We recommend using the Q-Park Raamplein which is a 5 minute walk from the property.
How do I check in?
Check in is completely self-managed via our smart lock system. Full instructions are sent 48 hours before arrival.
Is the hot tub available year round?
Yes. The hot tub is heated and available every day of the year regardless of season.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Please refer to our cancellation policy at the time of booking. We always recommend travel insurance for international guests.
Can we have guests visit during our stay?
Day visitors are welcome however overnight guests beyond the maximum occupancy of 10 are not permitted.
Is the property suitable for children?
Absolutely. The property is family friendly and welcomes guests of all ages.
